CALL FOR PAPERS:
The University of Kentucky’s Graduate Appalachian Research Community is pleased to announce the seventh annual Appalachian Research Symposium and Arts Showcase. Our symposium features diverse undergraduate and graduate student research, performances, art, and other projects from across the Appalachian region. Work must be related to Appalachia, original, and produced within the past three years. This year’s symposium theme is Difference and Affinity: Representing Appalachia, and reflects on diversity and commonalities of the Appalachian experience. Registration is free for both presenting and non-presenting attendees. The symposium will be held at the University of Kentucky on March 5thand 6th.
Our symposium is an excellent, friendly venue for students to network and present research, artwork, performances, posters, and other projects. Abstracts must be submitted online by midnight, January 31 at https://appalachiancenter.as.uky.edu/app-symposium.
