Emmie Oliver, Environment and Sustainability major (‘2017) made this great video, documenting the collaboration between the Beersheba Clinic (including Ms. LeTease King, Renae Hobbs,  and the clinic staff), students and faculty at Sewanee to establish a garden at the clinic.  Deb McGrath’s Biology 232 Human Health and Environment class started this as their community engagement project.

Deb McGrath and Mark Preslar were awarded grant funds from the Collaborative in the summer of 2015 to expand the clinic garden (Mark Preslar helped establish a small apple orchard), develop cooking workshops and create a heritage cooking and garden guide that integrates cherished recipes and stories told by local residents with new recipes that incorporate healthy garden produce.
