On July 2-9, 2018, colleagues from the MacArthur award-winning FrameWorks Institute led a summer training institute for Sewanee and Yale faculty and staff. Over several days, colleagues from a range of disciplines learned about and explored framing theory and methods, cultural models theory and analysis, cultural models interviews, and media content and field frame analysis, and worked together to develop next steps for projects. The summer institute was co-sponsored by Sewanee’s Office of Civic Engagement and the Collaborative for Southern Appalachian Studies and strengthens the relationship that began several years ago between the FrameWorks Institute and Sewanee.
